Is the River Lodge in a malaria area?
No we are in a malaria free area and you do not need to take prophylatics if you come and stay with us.
Are you open all year round?
Yes we are open all year round.
Is the resort available for private hire?
Yes, we can host weddings, special occasions (40th birthdays, anniversaries), christenings and corporate conferences and team building functions at our resort.
Are larger parties catered for?
Yes, although it does depend on the format of your event and the number of rooms you require (we have 48 rooms in total in the resort).
Are children welcome?
Yes we are a family resort, children and infants are well catered for; we have a jungle gym, special children’s swimming pool and trampoline. Child minders are available from the Mbotyi community.
Is vegetarian food available?
Yes, there is at least one vegetarian option with every course. Please advise us ahead of any particular dietary requirements.
Is the water okay to drink at Mbotyi?
Yes, the water is safe to drink although we do recommend that the very young or elderly buy bottled water which we have available for sale.
Does the resort bedrooms have air conditioning?
Yes some of our bedrooms do have air conditioning but not all, please do check when making your booking.
Has provision been made for wheelchairs?
Yes, please call ahead so we can ensure your comfort.
